The Client

The University of Portsmouth was determined to ensure that their students could celebrate their achievements and graduate in 2021, despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

To make this possible, we utilised a hybrid approach to the ceremonies, offering both and in-person and virtual service. Gowns were all posted out in advance of the ceremonies to ensure the ceremonies were conducted safely.

Recently, Graduation Attire were awarded Photography and Merchandising services on top of Gowning and Live Stream, creating a full one-stop shop graduation experience.

The Solution

Our expertise in ecommerce proved to be invaluable when it came to pre-delivering gowns to students ahead of their ceremonies. By leveraging our knowledge of online ordering systems and supply chain logistics, we were able to ensure that each student received their gown in a timely and efficient manner.
Our unique virtual graduation services provided an opportunity for students to appear live on screen and participate in their graduation ceremony, regardless of their location. Using cutting-edge video conferencing technology and expert technical support, we were able to create an immersive virtual experience that captured the excitement and energy of an in-person graduation ceremony.

The Results

We successfully delivered over 10,000 gowns to students in advance of their graduation ceremonies; this allowed students to spend more time celebrating in their attire.
Due to the massive success of the virtual graduation, The University of Portsmouth decided to make it a permanent feature of their celebrations.

Our success in technical innovation has led to us being awarded additional services by The University of Portsmouth, including Photography and Merchandising.
