Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to work on gown and hood designs for Universities, not just in the UK, but globally.
The role requires the individual to take the guidance and complete the design to the specification whilst
working within the Supply Chain team, recognising the demands of peak periods, supply chain challenges and
working closely with the Warehouse Team in respect of stock levels.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of a small team, the role is focused on providing designs and ensuring samples are
representative of the university criteria. The role is office based and is an entry level role, but some previous
work experience within product design would be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This fast paced and varied environment provides challenging work that is an integral part of the overall business.
• Providing and shaping creative concepts and designs on a range of ceremony gowning products
• Quickly understand the product and the Client’s needs in detail, and translate functional requirements into workable designs
• Work with local businesses to produce workable samples that will be used for mass production in a timely manner
• Design gowns and hoods using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Aiding in producing detailed product specifications to supply to factories
• Working with difficult supply chain times and ensuring administration is maintained
• Develop and maintain successful working relationships
• Ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time

Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Attention to detail, and striving for excellence
• Experience in a fast paced, data driven environment
• Creative problem solving skills and dealing with ambiguity
• Ability to understand and communicate a clear design brief
• Supply chain knowledge would be an advantage
